Eleanor L. Wolf

Eleanor L. Wolf, 93, of Elizabethtown, passed away on April 6, 2024 at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. Born October 28, 1930, she was a graduate of Upper Darby High School in 1948. She went on to attend West Chester State Teachers College in 1953 with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in History and Language Arts.

She met the love of her life at West Chester and on July 3rd 1954 married Richard W. Wolf in Secane, PA. Eleanor is survived by two sons: Richard W. Wolf, Jr.; Eric L. wolf and wife Connie (Hansel); daughter in law Cheryl (Blizzard) Wolf; granddaughter Catherine (Wolf) McGrath and husband John; grandson Carl David Wolf, Jr. and wife Megan; great granddaughter Abigal Mae Wolf; a great grandson Elliott Joseph Wolf ; a step granddaughter Janel Vancas and two step grandchildren: Brock and Hannah Vancas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard; a son Carl David Wolf, Sr.; Parents Carl Oscar Larson and Eleanor (Conrad) Larson; a brother Richard Larson; mother in law Dorothy (Corsin) Wolf; numerous aunts, uncles and in laws on both sides, and countless friends from Elizabethtown and around the country.

Eleanor had a real passion for history and travel. As a family, they traveled extensively into the 1970’s west of the Mississippi on summer breaks from work. Richard was also an educator, They made the transition from a tent trailer to a fully equipped motor home. They traveled to all 50 states, Mexico and numerous cruise excursions. They traveled heavily through Canada and actually made it to all seven continents with friends and family alike.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown for 68 years. She spent her final years residing at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. A place she loved and devoted decades to helping visitors and residents.

Eleanor will be laid to rest with her husband Richard in the memorial garden at Christ Lutheran Church. A tranquil and beautiful location that she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eleanor’s memory may be made to her church or an Alzheimer’s charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th at Christ Luther Church, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM.
