Charles M. Barilla

Charles “Chuckie” M. Barilla, 66, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Hershey Medical Center.   He was born Friday, June 19, 1953 to the late Charles P. and Phyllis M. (Updegraff) Barilla.  He is survived by his loving wife Sue Barilla.

Chuckie was a car lover, including his own personal muscle car.  He enjoyed traveling to car shows with his family and working on cars.  He also was a big pet lover specifically to his Great Danes but more than anything he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Megan Sommer and husband Laszlo, Kelly Hurst and husband Norm, and Doug Carpenter; grandchildren, Devon and Flynn Sommer, Tiler and Kody Hurst, and Kyle and Douger Carpenter; and sister Gaye Turpin and husband Irv.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
