Anna Amanda Wright, 94, formerly of Round Top Road, Middletown passed away at Advocate Good Hope Hospital in Illinois on February 4, 2018.

Ann was born in Berks County Marion Township on March 14, 1923 to the late E. George Weaver and Alice Weaver (Treida). She was predeceased by her husband Edward “Rebel” Wright; 2 sons Larry Lee Wright and Ronald Eugene Wright, Sr.; grandson Ronald Eugene Wright, Jr.; and brothers Franklin and John Weaver.

Ann previously worked at Hershey Chocolate, Masonic Homes and the Alpine Nursing Home. Anna was a caregiver that had a big heart.  She spent a lot of time volunteering at nursing homes and taking care of people, mostly kids.  She took care of her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, elderly friends and relatives as well as animals. She was the neighborhood Grandma.  No one or nothing went hungry when Ann was around.  She was always there to help with whatever you needed.  Ann loved being outdoors gardening at her home and walking many miles on the back roads of her neighborhood. The neighbors could often hear her call for the kids, yelling at the squirrels for eating the bird seed or at fast moving cars to slow down as they came speeding down over the hill.  No matter what she always told it like it was.  That is what made her so special and loved by so many.  The neighbors always watched over her making sure she was ok.  She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and neighbors.

She is survived by two daughters Patricia Saurs and Sandra Lamereaux; one son Eddy Wright; seven grandchildren Holly and Stephen Hayes, Jennifer and William Brady Jr., Erica Arrocha, Michael and Larry Wright; twelve great grandchildren Zachary and Noelle Bowers, Kelsey and Stephanie Hayes, Tyler Reichert, Audrey, Julia and Daniel Brady, Brian, Angelina, Lincoln and Lewis Wright.

A funeral service will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union Street, Middletown 17057. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home, burial will follow in Grand View Memorial Park in Annville.
