George R. Atticks

George R. Atticks, 86, formerly of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehab.  He was born Friday, October 25, 1929 in Harrisburg to the late George R. and Emma (Snoudy) Atticks.  He was predeceased by his wife, Kathryn (Hoffman) Atticks in 2010.  

George loved showing his 1942 Ford at car shows and proudly displayed many trophies he won at various shows.  He enjoyed bowling and family cookouts.  

He is survived by 3 sons, David E. Atticks and wife Bonnie, Donald L. Atticks and wife Robyn, and Terry L. Atticks and wife Dana; 9 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ryligh, Kelsi, Amara, Aydan, Noah, Grace, Mercy, and Naomi; and a sister, Jane Shadle.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Atticks. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 1 PM at Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown 17057 with Rev. Samuel Fry officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from noon until time of the service.
