Frances Lucille (Gann) Noon, 77, was called home to be with her Lord and loving husband on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center following years of courageously battling with leukemia & cancer. She was surrounded by her family as she departed this life to begin her journey in Heaven.

Lucille/Nan was born in Chester, South Carolina on April 17, 1940 to the late David C. and Julia B. Gann.  During her childhood her family moved to Middletown, PA where she graduated high school and then married James E. Noon Sr. and had 4 children; James E. Noon Jr (Angela), Lynne Stipe (Thomas), Lisa Henderson (Todd) & Jon-Eric Noon (Christine).

Nan was a life-long member of the First Zion Baptist Church in Middletown.  After years of devotion and commitment to the Lord and church, she was given the title “Mother of the Church.”  She believed in the power of prayer and the constant love and faith she had in the Lord guided her through her entire life.

Nan was the rock of a very large family. To receive visits from any of them would brighten her spirits and make her happy. She loved to make late night phone calls to her loved ones.  The love she gave was stronger than words.

Lucille is preceded in death by her late husband, James “Jimmy” Noon Sr. and her siblings Jeanette Gann Smith, Robert Joseph, David, William & Arthur Gann, and Clara Claudia Gann Ledebohm. She is survived by one sister, Julia Marie Gann; 4 children: James, Lynne, Lisa, and Jon-Eric; 15 grandchildren: Jake, Melanie, Valinda, Amy, Anthony, Tara, Nicole, Scott, Alex, Terrance, Leonardo, Todd Jr, Nathan, Mason, and Jazmin; and 25 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 64 Ann Street, Middletown.  A viewing will be from 10am to 12 noon with funeral services to follow.  Burial will be at the East Middletown Cemetery followed by a repast in the lower level of the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of Frances Lucille Noon.

Arrangements entrusted to Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Middletown.
