Dale A. Gallagher

Dale A. Gallagher, 95, of Bainbridge, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Highspire, he was the son of the late Marlo M. and Catherine (McGill) Gallagher. He was widowed by his wife Goldie M. (Harbold) Gallagher in 2004.

Dale was a veteran of the Air Force. He worked as a mechanic on military bases and for the government for most of his life. In his early years, he enjoyed going with his wife and daughter to play bingo, go camping, and go to auctions. He also enjoyed fishing with his son. He loved his cigars and tinkering with small engines. He was a good handy man and would help anyone he could. He was also good at playfully agitating his children.

He is survived by his daughter Diane E. Bosley (Richard B.) and son David E. Gallagher (Bonnie L.) both of Elizabethtown, seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Donald E. Gallagher, two brothers, and three sisters.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Falmouth Cemetery in Bainbridge, PA, with Pastor Emily Alleman officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown, PA 17057.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation, 141 Heisey Ave., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
