Anna M. (Witman) Lewallen

Anna M. (Witman) Lewallen, 82, of Middletown, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, August 1, 2016 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.  She was born June 30, 1934 in Middletown to the late Claude and Dorothy Mae (Zimmerman) Witman.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, William M. Lewallen.     

Anna was an active member of Valley Baptist Church, there she taught Sunday School and helped in the kitchen.  She was employed by the Press & Journal.  She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Astro Chapter 380 and of the Rescue Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary.  Anna was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan; she loved to go camping, especially camping at Bluegrass Festivals.  She also enjoyed traveling and playing cards.  Most importantly Anna loved spending time with her family, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.     

She is survived by 6 children, John Rehrer, Jr. (Joanne), Becky Neidinger (Ken), Kathy Peterson, JoAnn Onusko (Joe), Lynn Rouse (Robert), and Carolyn Sue Wesnak (Paul); 3 step-children, Karen Slingland (Paul), Cheryl Brightbill, and Dave Lewallen (Cindy); 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Witman.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Darlene Rehrer; and 4 brothers. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 2 PM at Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown 17057 with Pastor Jerry Cowan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Middletown Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 1 PM until time of the service.
